Are you willing to fight for what is right by God?
In this day and time, the game of life has changed for most people. Things once considered normal are no longer in the same spot where they used to be. It is as though we have gone through a tectonic shift of the earth so subtly and gradually that we did not see it coming. Several factors cause this to happen. Number one is the rapid advances in technology. Things that were not even invented when I was a child have become available to the point that if you are not current with some of these changes you feel totally in the dark, even though you consider yourself modestly smart.
For example, look at things such as smartphones. What you can do on a smartphone is about 100 times more than what was possible twenty years ago. Our grandchildren are growing up during this rapid technological advancement. This new-age technology is common to them because they are growing up in the middle of it. However, for us older people, it is like learning a new foreign language. So many people are intimidated by this rapid change and refuse to train themselves on how to use this new-age technology. If you don’t somehow make yourself aware of such things you will remain in the dark and have less control over your own life.
I became more aware of this shift as I went through different medical procedures concerning my aging body. My lifelong bad habits over the years have caused several conditions that need immediate attention. Once we had one doctor that kept us aware of what was going on in our bodies. That is no longer the case for most of us. There are networks of doctors and specialists that use advanced technology to diagnose us these days. They put the results of the reports online for us to view. If you don’t know how to access that information, know what we are viewing, or what it means, we are in the dark even though we see. It is like learning a complicated new language at an old age.
In the system of networking, it appears that all the different physicians specialize in certain aspects of your health and do not necessarily talk to each other. I have a urologist, a cardiologist, a thyroid doctor, an eye doctor, a primary doctor, a primary healthcare insurance, a secondary healthcare provider, and more that I can’t list at this time. With each institution and their offices, there are scores of people in each office that play a role in your healthcare. You might wonder, who knows everything about your health condition that coordinates with the rest of the team? Ultimately that would be you! You should care enough about your health that you make it your business to know.
I’m old school so I tend to trust the system and believe someone is in charge of my overall health body. That’s not always the case because technology has advanced so fast that the left hand is not aware of the right hand and the feet are moving in opposite directions. That means if you are not on top of your own health body there could be turmoil going on in you and not one of the spokes of the wheel is aware of how that could slip through the system because there appears to be no central processing station regarding your health body. There is a remedy for that but still, you must insist upon being made aware of your health if you are going to improve or correct things that are going array.
One of the remedies is a mixture of old school and new school. Everybody needs to find a primary physician whom they bond with over time and use them as their primary source to view their entire health body. All the reports need to go through the primary physician and he or she can report to you and recommend to you how to proceed. That presents yet another issue because most of those old-school doctors are of retirement age so that breed of healthcare seems to be departing with them. Not so fast!
It should behoove us to find a doctor and spend time getting to know them as they are examining you and develop a human-to-human bond with them to the point that you are no longer just a number or another case but a real live human being with cares and needs. This might not be an easy chore but worth its weight in gold when you find the right one just for you. If you are seeking easy things that fall into your lap that is not how this works. God tells us to ask, seek, and knock and you shall be answered, find what you seek, and the doors will be opened for you. Apply that same principle to finding your perfect primary physician and be willing to keep on asking, seeking, and knocking prayerfully until you get the results you seek.
Even though we are rapidly growing through technological changes in how the game of life is played, God never changes through all times. He is the same today that He was yesterday and will be tomorrow. It is upon us to connect with Him and remain in Him through and through. He says to abide in Him and He will abide in you. That is what Christ Lord tells His sheep. He says His sheep know the sound of His voice and will follow Him as He instructs them. If you do not have a relationship with the Lord that is an entirely different matter. That goes right back to how and where to start.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33. This promise will never change for all people on the earth today. If you place your Creator in the first position all the other positions will be added to you. There is no other source on earth or in heaven that can fulfill all your needs except the one that gives you life and being. Put God first and all the rest of your life will go through Him despite what our physical bodies go through.
Here is my final verdict. If you put God first and fight for what He deems right, you are in His divine care throughout eternity. Go with God. To almighty God be the glory. Selah!
