Blessed Is The One
“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take… or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight… is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. 3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers. Psalms 1: 1-3
I was thinking about how blessed I am to have so many of my fellow believers, my brothers and sisters of the faith, who circle around me day by day. The angels of the Lord encamp around me, watching over me at night. My brothers and sisters, we are not alone, nor were we ever intended to be so. God made us to be members of His own body.
We are one with the body of God and our fellow believers. We were made to serve a certain function in God’s body. Our ordinary duty is to serve God’s body rather than the self. When one gains, we all gain. When one suffers, we all suffer likewise. We’re to lift each other in prayer and thanksgiving at all times. What we do for others, we do for our bodies.
So to be amongst my brothers and sisters of the faith in this world is like a tree that was planted by streams of living waters, which causes it to grow and yield the fruit of the Spirit in due season. As long as we remain connected to those living waters, we will produce God’s fruit. As fruit on the vine, we ripen from God’s nutriments and yield forth a great harvest
The life in us is the Spirit of Christ Himself. Just as our blood keeps our carnal body alive, His indwelling Spirit keeps our spirit alive. He is the light that shines through us and the wick that keeps our candles shining ever so bright. Our lives reflect His light upon the world. Let your light shine so bright for the world to see through the darkness. The life in us belongs to Christ.
Your brothers and sisters of the faith share the light that keeps you alive and prospering. What’s in you is the Spirit of the Lord. You belong to Him. He will produce in you fruit of His kind.
I thank God for every one of you, my brothers and sisters of the faith. I love those who may not love me back because they were made by my Father to be loved by the entire body. I give thanks to God, our Lord, God Almighty… Abba… my Divine Father… Praise to Your Holy Name… Selah!
